Amazon's MMO, New World, delayed until Spring 2021

In what may be not so surprising news, Amazon's upcoming MMORPG, New World, has been delayed from its initial launch date of August 25th to Spring of 2021.

The announcement comes from Studio Director Rich Lawrence. He writes that "we will be changing our launch date - and correspondingly, our final beta test - to spring 2021. We don't make the decision lightly, and we have urgency about getting the game to you as quickly as possible at the best quality -- with some additions that will make the experience even better."

This decision is based on player feedback that was received during the games Alpha Testing. This feedback showed that players liked the game; however, the content was a bit lacking. So, the studio decided to delay the game so that they can polish up the game a bit more, and make sure that there is enough content for players when the game launches.

If you didn't know, recently, Amazon's MOBA-style shooter Crucible was pulled back into closed beta as the developers decided that it needed more work put into the final game mode that was available in it.

So this is unsurprising that they have also delayed their other game based on player feedback. Hopefully, this delay will make the game worth the wait!
